The American Coalition for Ukraine (ACU) is a growing alliance of non-profit organizations from across the country united to build community, provide educational resources, and strengthen American support for Ukraine. Our mission is to create a framework bringing together diverse US-based organizations and individuals supporting Ukraine, to provide guidance and coordinate effective nationwide advo

Two small groups of up to 15 people will have the opportunity to join these special tours on Tuesday during Advocacy Days.

Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the Order of Merit, III Class, to Alison Rochford, ACU Communications Director, in recognition of her steadfast support of Ukraine.

Alison is a communications and journalism professional with more than 11 years of experience. She first joined the Ukraine Action Summit as a Massachusetts delegate in 2023, later serving as a delegation leader for several summits while supporting communications efforts on the side.

She now serves as the ACU Communications Director, leading the communications team and helping build bridges between American and Ukrainian communities, their shared values, and their needs.

“Thank you to President Zelenskyy and United24 for this incredible recognition. Over the past four years, UNITED24 has reinforced for me the importance of education, connection, and turning awareness into action, principles I carry into my work with the American Coalition for Ukraine. Ukraine’s resilience and its defense of freedom and democracy have also pushed me to learn more about the country, its history, and its language. Being in Kyiv to accept this award was a tremendous honor and an opportunity to see firsthand the country and people behind the work I have supported for years. I will carry this recognition with me in the work ahead.”

Like last year, the ACU is partnering with UNWLA to show an interactive map of events celebrating Ukrainian Independence Day nationwide.

So far, more than 30 states are participating with nearly 90 events across the country, and we’d love to see even more!
