in Action: A field of no-till cotton in North Carolina, one of the top cotton-producing states in the country. This is how we nourish the soil while growing fiber.

We had a great time last week putting our in eastern North Carolina. Thanks again to Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture for a great 20th Annual Meeting, and Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) for an insightful Tour. We enjoyed conversations about scaling conservation on farmland while supporting farmers and ranchers, as well as touring different operations near Raleigh.

RIPE is hitting the road this summer, and we’d love to meet you! Check out upcoming events RIPE will be participating in on our website, and please reach out if you have an event for RIPE to attend.

June is National Sorghum Month! Sorghum is a symbol of versatility and resilience, known for its drought tolerance, efficient use of inputs and wide range of end uses.

RIPE creates solutions for producers across all commodities, and is no exception. In fact, sorghum is represented in our Steering Committee by National Sorghum Producers, Nebraska Sorghum and others.

“Our collective future depends on ecologically sound agricultural practices. Enhancing above and below ground diversity is the key to the restoration of resilient, profitable, environmentally friendly farming.”

A wonderful sentiment by Rhonda Daly. By conserving our soils, we protect the planet and producer livelihoods alike. Visit our website to learn more about our approach to scaling the RIPE way.

Logan Pribbeno is a 5th generation producer whose great-great-grandfather was a homesteader on the very land he manages today. Along with his family, Logan owns and operates Wine Glass Ranch in Imperial, NE.

Logan deserves to be fairly compensated for the ecosystem services created by the voluntary conservation practices on his farmland and rangeland. So do the millions of other producers across the country who use their own time and resources to experiment and find the best ways to thoughtfully care for their working lands.

May is , observed annually to reduce stigma, provide support, and educate the public on mental health conditions. is health, and farmers and ranchers are disproportionately afflicted by mental health conditions.

The agriculture industry is stressful, and RIPE cares about producer livelihood and well-being. We compiled a list of Mental Health Resources for Rural America to support our nation’s producers and their rural communities - download it from our website.
