We send our love and prayers to the family of Margene Roark Higham. She entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2025. Margene was a devoted, long-time member of the Roark-Conner Association having attended the early family reunions which began in 1959. In the 1990's Margene purchased the Joseph Roark cabin build in 1832, in Birchwood, TN, by her gg grandfather in order to bring it back into the family. Marleita Carmichael later purchased and renovated the cabin which still exists and is available to tour during family reunions.

It is with great sorrow we share the passing of one of our long-time members Tommye Ruth Roark. She was the wife of past president David Roark and step-mother to treasurer. Connie Roark Perrin. Visitation and funeral service will be tomorrow 11/6/25 in Birchwood, TN. Please see the link for more information:

With just 2 days to go, a message to you from the R-CA President:

Dear Members of the Roark-Conner Association,

I am Debbie Johnson, current President of the R-CA. Our 67th annual reunion is coming up this weekend, and I hope a large number of you plan to join us in person. For those of you who are unable to attend in person, we would love for you to join us on Saturday morning, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM EDT, via Zoom. The Zoom link is included below.

There will be a business meeting, a memorial service, and two presentations during that time. The Sons of the American Revolution will honor us with a presentation about two of our patriot ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War, and our Vice President, John Blankenship, will be presenting information about his 3rd great grandmother, Margaret Jane Roark Swafford.

Below is the Zoom invitation for the reunion. There are two primary ways to access the Zoom (video) meeting for the reunion. One, highlighted in yellow, is using the link that will allow you to join the Zoom meeting. Or two, you can choose to log into the Zoom website and access the session/meeting using the Meeting ID and passcode, highlighted in green.
