The APALRC provides free civil legal assistance to low-income immigrant communities in metro-DC

Join the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC) and the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights for a Virtual Lunch and Learn on May 21st at 12:00 PM-1:30 PM. Research has shown a rise in incidents of hate bias against Asians, both online and in-person, since November 2024. Learn how you can combat anti-Asian hate, your rights, and how we can be effective bystanders who will not tolerate hate in our community.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Your support for the APALRC's 25th Anniversary exceeded our expectations. Thanks to your generous contributions, we surpassed our fundraising goal and gathered together as a vibrant community to honor the past, present, and future of our work.

The event, held at Hook Hall in Washington, DC, brought together nearly 150 attendees from our community past and present: board of directors, staff, awardees, volunteers, and new friends. Everyone gathered to celebrate the power of collective action in the spirit of the theme Voices of Justice: Past, Present, and Future. It was truly inspiring to see so many people who believe in the importance of our mission: providing legal services, advocacy, and resources for Asian Pacific American communities across the region.

We look forward to sharing more highlights from the event! 📸
