OTR Wellness OTR is a nonprofit providing trauma informed counseling & First Responder Support Services. OTR accepts BCBS AETNA, Cigna, Tricare, Magellan, and Amerihealth.

We are a woman owned private practice that opened our doors in 2008 specializing in trauma related issues providing mental health counseling, consultation, training, and supervision. Our staff have varied backgrounds and all have trauma treatment backgrounds (PTSD) and experience including first responders, military, general life stress, relationships (including domestic violence), LGBTQ+ issues,

grief, anxieties, and depression. We have an integrative approach, as not every client responds well to the same techniques. Our team also provides services such as wellness checks, therapy, and debrief groups for federal and local law enforcement/public safety/first responders of any type, humanitarian aid/disaster workers, frontline healthcare workers, journalists covering military or federal conflict areas or disasters, and military personnel and their families. OTR has been involved in projects, trainings and supportive services involving topics of trauma such as domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, as well as first responder mental health through our training of professionals as well as community and agency presentations. We maintain connections with EAPs and outside agencies as an option for mental health referral or support. (Located in DC and Old Town Alexandria, VA)

🚨OTR’s website is still down. We have used GoDaddy for 19 years and they have been holding our site security for over a month since we switched to the nonprofit. They keep asking for different types of verification and at this point if we have given blood they would deny it.
Please be patient as we finish up the new site at:

We will not be using GoDaddy anymore and are moving on to better technology and customer service at DreamHost.

💙🚔Day 2 National Police Week!💙🚔
OTR’s Bruce, Doc F, and Sophia spent the day with our local folks and visiting first responders escorting the rest of the families flying in for the week with grace and honor (and today no rain). Bruce had a brief meeting with MWAA’s Peer team as well. There is still a long week ahead but we made sure to check in and we got to see many people from the years before. Bruce found his London Cops again. And then we of course hung out with our fire house folks! So Bruce could run wild. 🚒

🚔💙National Police Week Day 1!🚔💙
OTR’s Bruce, Sarah, Nicole, Cassie, and Yolanda were on deck to check on all the first responders working today carrying heavy hearts and great honor for the families flying in.
