Today our Lions family mourns the passing of Past International Director Stanley Grossman (1999-01).

PID Stan, from Springfield, New Jersey, USA, served as international director following the 82nd annual convention, June 28-July 2, 1999, in San Diego, California, USA.

He was a great mentor to all us Lions from New Jersey and will be sorely missed.

Over the past few days, I have had the pleasure of being with the Lions and Leos of Africa in Hammamet, Tunisia, for their 3rd Africa Forum.

It was a great experience to connect with our grassroots leaders and learn more about how we can empower them to strengthen, build, and align more.

I was honored to receive the International Presidents Award from Lions International President Brian Sheehan today at the close of the Board of Directors meeting in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

Today our Lions family mourns the loss of Carlos A. Valencia, of Miranda, Venezuela, who served as international director from 2011 through 2013. A Lion for more than forty years, Past International Director Valencia will be remembered as a lifelong community servant.

Leo Club Program Advisory Panel applications are now open and due August 15! The Leo Advisory Panel is a communication vehicle for Leos and Lions to share their ideas about the Leo Club Program with Lions Clubs International. Advisory panelists represent Leos and Lions in their respective constitutional area and serve as ambassadors for the Leo Club Program.

This weekend I had the privilege of joining the Leos of Constitutional Areas I and II at their USA/Canada Leo Leadership Forum in Visalia, California, USA.

Additionally, we chartered two new Leo clubs in District 4-A2 (California, USA) and installed their Leo district officers.
