Why STAMPED Matters

A hose assembly can look right on paper and still fail in the field. Often, the problem starts with a detail that was missed before the assembly was ever built: the wrong pressure rating, an incompatible material, or an end fitting that does not match the application.

That’s where STAMPED comes in.

As an HSI Best Practice, STAMPED provides a structured approach to identifying the information needed for proper hose selection and assembly. By considering Size, Temperature, Application, Media/Material, Pressure, Ends, and Delivery, it helps ensure the right hose is selected for the job.

Identifying a mismatch during the specification process can help prevent costly problems down the road, including downtime, equipment damage, and potential safety risks.

If you’re ordering hose assemblies, ask yourself is STAMPED part of the selection process?
