We need all DC returning citizens--those employed as well as those who are not, their family members, and friends to come to the Wilson Building on December 19, 2022, at 11AM and join the RALLY FOR RETURNING CITIZENS to focus attention on the urgent need for HOUSING, JOBS, and other support services for our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts returning to the District from incarceration, often after serving sentences of 10 years or more.

Looking for a living wage employment opportunity? Look here; then go and apply at the DC Department of Employment Services. Returning citizens are welcomed. Training opportunities available in solar energy, utilities service/maintenance (Pepco, Washington Gas), information technology, and the construction trades.

Since Washington Gas partnered with D.C. Infrastructure Academy three years ago, nearly 30 people have graduated from the academy. They've done so after receiving hands-on training and gaining expertise about energy and the city’s underground pipelines.
