We’ve got some powerful events and activations coming your way… spaces where our kids can be themselves, where parents can breathe, connect, and feel seen, and where our community can come together and just… thrive.

Every child deserves to be Safe at Home.

Nearly half of all children with autism will wander from a safe place — and for Black and Brown families, the fear hits even harder. When autistic children go missing, the #1 cause of death is drowning.

That’s why Friends of Zyion is launching the Safe at Home Initiative — providing free home security cameras, six months of service, and caregiver support to families raising autistic and neurodivergent children of color.

We’re starting small but dreaming big — and you can help.

Introducing the Safe at Home Initiative
Every child deserves to feel safe, and every parent deserves peace of mind.

Friends of Zyion is launching Safe at Home, a new program providing cameras and six months of service to families raising autistic and neurodivergent children of color who are at risk of wandering.

Together, we can help protect our kids, empower caregivers, and bring safety home.

Facebook friends, we are looking for help identifying an in-person tutor in Gainesville, FL or the surrounding area. A 13-year-old child on the autism spectrum needs support in reading, writing, and math.

The ideal tutor is someone with experience working with neurodiverse children or those diagnosed with Autism, and who can provide gentle redirection when needed. This could be a student, teacher, or anyone with the right experience and heart for the work.

Tutoring will take place either in the child’s home or at a local library. The child is currently enrolled in summer school, and homework assignments will guide most of the sessions, though the tutor is welcome to bring any additional materials that might support learning.

The pay is $30 per hour, and the family is looking for someone who can commit to 3 days a week. Specific days and times can be arranged with the family.
