Dear Consultants,
We have exciting news to share!
Thanks to your generosity and support, USIDHR has now raised $3,305.81 for our Edu for Every Child Liberia 2026 campaign.
That means we can already help approximately 70 children in Brewerville and Buchanan, Liberia begin the school year with the supplies and support they need.
Now the question is:
Who is ready to help us reach all 150?
As a special thank-you, every donor will receive the Edu for Every Child Liberia 2026 Supporter Virtual Badge, recognizing your support for childrenโ€™s education in Liberia.
This badge may be shared on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or with your professional network to help spread awareness and invite others to join the campaign.
We are now in the final countdown before the school year begins.
$47 can help support one child for the school year.
Can you help us move from 70 children to 150?

Two days. Countless conversations. Lifelong inspiration.

The USIDHR Delegation had the privilege of attending the 20th Youth for Human Rights International Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where delegates from around the world came together with one shared purpose: advancing human rights through education.

Throughout the Summit, our delegates listened to inspiring stories from youth leaders, diplomats, educators, survivors, and human rights advocates whose experiences reminded us that one voice, one act of courage, and one opportunity to educate can change countless lives.

Every session reinforced a simple but powerful truth: human rights are not protected by words alone. They are protected by people who choose to lead, serve, and stand up for the dignity of others.

We are proud of every member of the USIDHR Delegation for representing our organization with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference long after the Summit has concluded.

The conversations may have ended, but the mission continues.

Together, we will keep educating, advocating, and empowering communities to build a more just, peaceful, and compassionate world.

A powerful voice for human rights education echoed today from the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Representing the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights (USIDHR), our Regional Director for Quรฉbec, Dr. Rashid Abdur, addressed delegates from around the world during the 20th International Human Rights Summit, where USIDHR is honored to serve as a Co-Sponsor.

In his inspiring remarks, Dr. Abdur reminded the international community that:

โ€œPeople cannot defend rights they have never been taught. Education is where prevention begins.โ€

Speaking on behalf of our Founder and Chairwoman, Dr. Isabelle Vladoiu, and the entire USIDHR community, Dr. Abdur reaffirmed our belief that human rights education must extend far beyond classrooms for specialists. It belongs in every classroom, every workplace, every profession, and every community.

He highlighted that, through USIDHRโ€™s programs and our longstanding collaboration with Youth for Human Rights International, we have helped educate more than 30,000 individuals worldwideโ€”empowering educators, law enforcement officers, healthcare professionals, business leaders, government officials, students, and community advocates to become champions of dignity, inclusion, and justice.

As Dr. Abdur so powerfully stated:

โ€œHuman rights education is not simply an educational priority. It is a global investment in peace, security, and sustainable development.โ€

We are incredibly proud of Dr. Rashid Abdur for representing USIDHR with excellence on the world stage and for advancing our shared mission of making human rights education accessible to every person, every profession, and every nation.

Together, we continue building a future where education empowers action, leadership inspires change, and human dignity is protected for all.

Today, the 20th International Human Rights Summit opened at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, bringing together youth leaders, diplomats, educators, and human rights advocates from around the world under the theme:

โ€œEducation for Peace โ€“ A 25-Year Legacy.โ€

We are proud that USIDHR is once again serving as a Co-Sponsor of the International Human Rights Summit, reaffirming our shared commitment to advancing human rights education as a pathway to peace.

This year, our USIDHR Human Rights Consultant Delegation is proudly representing our organization inside the United Nations, joining global conversations on empowering communities through education, leadership, and human rights.

We also congratulate H.E. Ambassador Dionisio Babo Soares, Permanent Representative of Timor-Leste to the United Nations, for his inspiring opening remarks emphasizing that education is not only a fundamental human right, but the strongest foundation for lasting peace, equality, and democratic participation.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Dr. Mary Shuttleworth and the Youth for Human Rights International team for 25 years of extraordinary leadership in making human rights education accessible to young people across the globe.

Together, we continue working toward a future where human rights education empowers every generation to lead with dignity, responsibility, and peace.
