They’re trying new financial tools and focusing on attracting more women into green finance!

We have a new study highlighting some of the lessons learned from this small country in the South Caucasus region, as it makes huge strides in bringing more clean power to its grid! 🔋

By incentivizing small and medium enterprises ( ) to invest in clean power and attracting women to fill more operational and management roles, Armenia can show us a thing or two!

When you think of ’s amazing ecosystems, the Amazon rainforest probably pops into your mind! But let’s shine a light on another incredible treasure—the biome! 🔦

This tropical savanna covers almost a quarter of Brazil and is the most biodiverse savanna on the planet, boasting an astonishing 5% of the world’s plants and animals.

For the past twelve years, the Government of Brazil, along with CIF, , and the , have invested to boost the environmental and economic value of the Cerrado’s lush grasslands and forests. These investments have protected this vital biodiverse natural resource and the livelihoods that rely on it!

In 🇹🇴 and 🇼🇸 , women are at the heart of transformative resilience-building efforts.

👭 Women have led over 30% of resilience projects in Tonga, directly benefiting nearly 80% of vulnerable groups. In Samoa, almost half of the 14,900 participants in community projects were women, driving agricultural and water management projects.

These women are proving that when they lead, communities thrive!

🇦🇲 has some interesting insights to share from its energy transformation! 💡

A new case study reveals how the country overcame challenges to boost clean electricity generation and, in the process, also, made huge strides in advancing women’s leadership.

Learn how Armenia, a landlocked country in the South Caucasus, addressed clean energy challenges by incentivizing SMEs and encouraging women to apply for jobs in the energy sector.

The 🇲🇻 is of course one of the most exotic locations!

It’s also a model for other small island states in how it has piloted, and is now scaling, clean technologies!

☀️ By harnessing its abundance of sunshine, the government of the Maldives with investments from the CIF, , and the has worked over a number of years, to increase energy access and boost energy security!

📈 By increasing clean power generation, it created a viable new energy market and reduced its reliance on expensive imported fuel.

Other small islands can learn from this example! 🏝️
