📢 Now Open | 100,000 Strong in the Americas Grant Opportunity

Partners of the Americas, in coordination with the U.S. Department of State, announces the launch of the 100,000 Strong in the Americas STEM Alliance Grant Competition.

This new regional grant competition will provide funds for higher education institutions in the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean to expand innovative educational exchange programs in STEM-related fields that showcase American leadership and technology.

📅 Save the Date | New 100,000 Strong in the Americas Funding Opportunity!

Join us and U.S. Department of State on August 11, 2026 for a virtual event to open a new 100K Strong grant competition for higher education partnerships and innovative exchanges between the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The new grant competition will support collaboration between institutions that design programs focused on STEM, critical minerals, semi-conductors, AI, entrepreneurship, agricultural & food science, and other key areas.

This week, our President & CEO John McPhail is in Leticia, Colombia for the 2026 Concordia Amazonas Initiative, a gathering of leaders from business, government, Indigenous communities, and civil society focused on protecting the Amazon.

Co-hosted by Fundación Innovación para el Desarrollo (led by former President Iván Duque), the event builds on past convenings in Ecuador, Guyana, and Brazil, all working toward the same goal: real partnerships that support the people and ecosystems of the Amazon basin.

🌟 From local training to regional impact

What happens when communities lead? Real, scalable results.
Through Education and Culture Program funding, ProSociedad implemented a training model to strengthen financial and digital skills, creating a ripple effect across communities in Mexico.

📊 The results:
✔️ 27 certified community facilitators (nearly 3x the original goal)
✔️ 257 people trained through local replication
✔️ 18 municipalities reached
✔️ 90% participant satisfaction

By equipping local leaders with practical tools and training, this project helped expand workforce skills, strengthen local capacity, and support long-term economic opportunity and stability.
