NPA Board Chairman and NOW Health Group CEO Jim Emme opened NPA’s 2026 Fly-In Day with an important reminder: our mission isn’t about politics. It’s about policy.

When we meet with lawmakers, we advocate for science-based policies that support the natural products industry and the consumers who rely on our products every day. That means leading with professionalism, respect, and a shared commitment to doing what’s right.

As Jim reminds us, every advocate represents more than their own company. We represent NPA, our entire industry, and the millions of consumers who place their trust in us.

Watch Jim’s message on the responsibility and opportunity we all share.

Adel Villalobos knows firsthand what the natural products industry can achieve—and why it's worth protecting.

In this powerful message, Mr. Villalobos shares why he made a personal $100,000 commitment to support the Natural Products Association's 90th Anniversary Campaign and challenges others to invest in the future of our industry.

For 90 years, NPA has fought to protect consumer access to dietary supplements, defend responsible businesses, and advocate for policies that help our industry grow. That work only continues with the support of those who believe in its mission.

Watch Mr. Villalobos’ message and consider joining him in investing in the next generation of the natural products industry.

Innovation depends on clear and predictable rules.
At NPA's 2026 Fly-In Day, Derek Webber of Sound Foods discussed how regulatory uncertainty can discourage companies from investing in research, product development, and innovation in the natural products industry.

When businesses spend years researching naturally occurring ingredients only to face unexpected regulatory challenges after bringing products to market, it creates uncertainty that can slow innovation and limit consumer access to new products.

That's why NPA continues to advocate for greater transparency and consistent application of existing law, giving companies the confidence to innovate while ensuring consumers maintain access to safe, high-quality dietary supplements.

These are the issues our members brought directly to lawmakers on Capitol Hill, and why advocacy remains so important for the future of the industry.

A patchwork of state-by-state regulations isn't the answer.

At NPA's 2026 Fly-In Day on May 12, 2026, Congressman Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.) highlighted the importance of maintaining a consistent, science-based national framework for dietary supplements. This uniform regime has helped ensure product safety, consumer confidence, and regulatory clarity for three decades.

Unfortunately, as states pursue their own separate requirements, dietary supplement businesses face increased costs and compliance burdens while consumers are left with fewer choices and greater confusion.

NPA remains committed to advocating for a strong, uniform federal framework that protects consumers, supports innovation, and allows the natural products industry to continue serving millions of Americans.

For 90 years, the Natural Products Association has been the leading voice for the natural products industry in Washington, D.C.

At NPA's 2026 Fly-In Day, industry leaders from across the country met with lawmakers and their staff to advocate for policies that support innovation, consumer choice, and the future of our industry.

Derek Webber, Chief Revenue Officer at Sound Foods and a 30-year industry veteran, shared why he made the trip to the nation's capital: to help ensure the next generation of natural products businesses has the same opportunities to grow and succeed.

Thank you to Mr. Webber and all of our members who are stepping up to represent the industry and make their voices heard on Capitol Hill.

At NPA's Fly-In Day on May 12, 2026, industry leaders from across the country met directly with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the importance of protecting consumer access to safe, high-quality dietary supplements.

Amy Smith, Senior Director of Medical Affairs at Kerry Proactive Health, North America, shared why these conversations matter: educating lawmakers about the challenges facing the natural products industry and building partnerships that help ensure Americans can continue to make informed choices about their health and wellness.

Thank you to Dr. Smith and all of our members who took the time to advocate for the future of the natural products industry.

During our 2026 Fly-In Day, NPA and our members urged lawmakers to support legislation that would expand HSA/FSA eligibility for dietary supplements and preventative wellness products helping consumers proactively manage their health while reducing long-term healthcare costs.

This is exactly the kind of commonsense, prevention-focused policy Americans are asking for.

Grassroots advocacy matters. If you care about expanding access to wellness and empowering consumers to make proactive health decisions, now is the time to make your voice heard.
