Teach the Beat

Join us in wishing SweetCherie OnKeys , one of the founding teaching artists of Teach the Beat a happy birthday! 🎉🎉🎉

Teach the Beat is an initiative of Teaching for Change that not only brings the musical technique, but also the history and culture of Go-Go music into D.C. area classrooms.

Sweet Cherie and our other teaching artists ( JuJu, The Uncle Devin Show, and Matt SwampGuinee, to name a few), make this work possible, bringing often a once in a lifetime experience for our youngest D.C. area humans to learn directly from legends in the community.
