We can’t believe it’s already been a week since Camp Cobb Park! We had a blast meeting so many new neighbors and greeting many familiar faces over the two days of activities 🍿🎪🛼

We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to bring our neighborhood community together through fun, free, and inclusive programming and thank the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice (Deputy Mayor Lindsey Appiah) for funding this project through its FY26 Safe Commercial Corridors Grant Program. We were honored to have the opportunity to provide welcoming family programming through this initiative and hope to continue supporting investments that empower our youngest community members long into the future!✨

This Labor Day, we are especially grateful for the hard work and dedication of our MVT CID Clean Team Ambassadors.

In the aftermath of Thursday night's powerful storm, a fallen tree at 6th & K Streets NW left the sidewalk completely impassable. As our DDOT partners worked around the clock to address storm impacts citywide, our Clean Team Ambassadors helped support that broader effort by stepping in with a chainsaw and removing the large sections of this tree that were encumbering the sidewalk, restoring safe passage for neighbors and visitors while freeing DDOT capacity to respond elsewhere.

It is just one example of the many ways our Clean Team adds value – on Labor Day and every day – in supporting our District partners while helping keep Mount Vernon Triangle clean, safe, and welcoming.

Thank you to these hardworking Ambassadors, who serve our community 353 days each year with a remarkable 97% uptime rate. We appreciate you and hope that you are enjoying your well-deserved day off!
