From Student to Flight Instructor — Congratulations to 2024 RAA Scholarship Recipient, Jacob Swisher!

Shortly after receiving the RAA scholarship, Jacob began his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training—something made possible thanks to scholarship support that helped offset college costs.

Jacob’s advice to future aviation students?

“Find what you love to do in aviation and pursue it. Put yourself out there—apply for every scholarship you can. The journey may seem expensive, but organizations like RAA are here to help.”

We’re proud to be a part of your journey, Jacob. Donate today to support the next generation of aviation leaders: https://ow.ly/WTaT50Wajiu

We love hearing from our RAA Scholarship Recipients—and we’re proud to share an inspiring update from 2024 recipient Maddie Glassett.

“I am now officially an A&P mechanic and recently started a job as a seaplane instructor! Thanks to the RAA Scholarship, I ended my last semester debt-free and was able to purchase essential tools that I now rely on daily in my work as a mechanic and flight instructor.”

Maddie’s advice to future scholars?

“Enjoy the ride… Don’t lose sight of how privileged we are to do what we do.”

Your support makes stories like Maddie’s possible. Please help us continue investing in the future of aviation through the RAA Scholarship Foundation. Donate today: https://ow.ly/Xv7u50W0hPm
