Thank you DMV chapter of Umu Igbo Unite for giving us a spotlight in our April newsletter. I love us, and UIU's mission of promoting and educating on the Igbo culture through language preservation aligns perfectly with my life's work. I'm always glad to partner. Thank you to everyone who supported the Kickstarter! We are fully funded. Which means we can produce the Maazi Agu plush doll. We are so grateful for the way our community came to support. Igbo nwere mmadụ, for real! Now, have a new goal. Before the campaign ends in 36 days, we need a total of 150 backers to support this campaign. And I know we can do it. The manufacturers of the doll require a higher minimum order quantity and a higher price point for the doll to be manufactured with the hat knitted like an authentic okpu agụ Igbo hat. Otherwise, the Maazi Agu doll will still have the hat, but it will be made of cloth fabric material instead. So, let us keep going. Share this Kickstarter with anyone you know who can support the campaign. Let's get that knitted hat for Maazi Agu.
