What does humanist leadership look like in real life?
The Humanist Society supports humanist professionals who help people mark milestones, find community, receive care, and bring humanist values into public life.
This series introduces four humanist professional roles:
Celebrants
Chaplains
Invocators
& Lay Leaders
Humanist Lay Leaders help turn humanism into community by leading discussion groups, local meetings, service projects, interfaith participation, and opportunities for people to connect around shared values.
Their work matters because movements grow through relationships, care, organizing, and everyday participation.
