Piney Run Sporting Club of Washington, DC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting youth sports as a way for children in the District of Columbia (DC) to develop their curiosity, enthusiasm, and ambition. A run is a very tiny tributary stream that flows into a larger body of water. Piney Run flows through Southeast DC to Northeast DC, then drains into the Anacostia River.

Day 3 of the 2024 Labor Day Classic delivers the grand finale after 107 matches were played this weekend! we hosted more players than ever before and had more entrants who wanted to play; but we couldn’t take them all.

Day 2 of the 2024 Labor Day Classic started with unloading on site at 7am; it ended with packed up truck at 8pm.

on Day 1 we were stopped by the rain; but do we say to the God of Rain? NOT TODAY! our tennis community made sure of it. they helped dry all 6 courts to restart the matches within an hour! ❤️

tennis starts with love, it can’t happen any other way.
