For the 4th year in a row, CapeTown DMV showed up to make sure when opportunity meets preparation, our people are ready.

From legends to leaders, this experience brings history to life through youth voices, performance, and storytelling that honors OUR community in a way that only DC can. ❤️💛💚

We’re excited to play a role behind the scenes helping bring this production to life — because investing in youth expression, creativity, and cultural storytelling is what we’re all about. 🙌🏾

Capetown DMV is more than a nonprofit — we’re a movement of barbers, braiders, nail techs, and MUAs using our gifts to build confidence and opportunity across the DMV.

From free community grooming and wellness events 🫶🏾 to scholarships and licensure support for local stylists 💡— every cut, braid, and polish we give is a step toward empowerment.

This season, we’re raising $10,000 to:
💈 Expand free grooming and self-care pop-ups for youth, adults, and seniors
🎓 Help our volunteer stylists apply for professional licensure
🚐 Launch a mobile grooming van to reach underserved neighborhoods with safe, sanitary, and quality care
