When speaking with this landlord about why she is donating back into the I Care Campaign, this was her response! We cannot emphasize enough, that Direct Cash Transfers get people into housing fast, and provide the space & path for them to obtain self sufficiency!

Self Sufficiency is always the end goal! Direct Cash Transfers once again not only prove to be extremely effective in securing housing for people in need, but ultimately provide a path to self sufficiency for the families and individuals who receive them! We want to give a huge thank you to the landlord not only for their very generous donation, but for setting the standard and taking a step to make housing for people and not for profit! Direct Cash Transfers have been proven to be effective & efficient over & over again, all while also providing people with the ability to do what is best for themselves & their families. This is the one & only method we have chosen to use as our approach to helping end homelessness & poverty in the DC metropolitan area! No matter who you choose to get involved with, GET INVOLVED!! Because homelessness & poverty in America is a solvable problem, and if we all play a small part, we can truly make a BIG difference!
