Quality affordable rental homes, especially when enriched with services, can support resident health and wellness, economic mobility, increased opportunity and an improved quality of life. Resident services programs support resident health and well-being. In an economic crisis, like the one caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, these programs become more critical to ensuring residents are connected with resources to stay stably housed. With funds from JPMorgan Chase & Co., SAHF and the Housing Partnership Network were able to support resident services programs that will able to quickly identify and connect residents with urgent needs and support .

A quality, stable home is well documented as a foundational determinant of health and that has never been more evident than in recent months. Together with National Affordable Housing Trust - NAHT we look forward to collaborating with UnitedHealthcare to deepen our collective understanding of the impact of stable, affordable homes on health outcomes.

UnitedHealth Group Inc. is investing $100 million in affordable housing, bringing the health-care giant’s total funding for the cause to $500 million since 2011, the company said.
