The architectural rendering in the Chevy Chase Voice petition is accurately based upon DMPED's original messaging to the Chevy Chase community that the new zoning would allow for a building that is 93' tall, filling 80% lot coverage. Our petition preface includes that original information as well as the updated DMPED zoning amendment that will allow an 80' tall building on 60% lot coverage. That new zoning amendment was submitted for approval last week, BEFORE the Chevy Chase "neighborhood involvement" meetings on 10/14 and 18. Those two meetings were highly choreographed by a facilitator company paid handsomely with tax payer money to deliver a result DMPED and the Mayor want, one does not reflect community sentiment.

Over 1200 and counting Chevy Chase residents have signed the Chevy Chase Voice petition to save the Chevy Chase Commons.
