We’re organizing a teach-in with the title ›Learning on the Left‹ on February 11 at 7 pm at New North 204. This is a great opportunity to see what the Platypus Affiliated Society is about if you usually can’t make it to our reading group or coffee break. The event will just take an hour and a half. Everyone is welcome!

Tomorrow (January 22), our reading group will meet to discuss the question of revolutionary leadership. We’re discussing the first part of Rosa Luxemburg’s ›The Crisis of German Social Democracy‹ (Part 1) (1915), J. P. Nettl’s ›The German Social Democratic Party 1890–1914 as a Political Model‹ (1965), and Cliff Slaughter’s ›What is Revolutionary Leadership?‹ (1960). We’re meeting as usual at 2 pm at New North 204. No prior knowledge is required. Everyone is welcome!

The 15th Annual International Convention of the Platypus Affiliated Society will take place Thursday, March 30th, 2023 through Sunday, April 2nd in Chicago, Illinois. Many panels, interviews, workshops, and social events are being planned, so stay tuned for updates! Most are free and open to the public. Come one, come all!

The new term has just begun and we’re resuming our campus activities in this term as well! Tomorrow (January 15) at 2 pm, our reading group will meet to discuss Karl Korsch’s ›Marxism and Philosophy‹ (1923). We’re meeting as usual at New North 204. No prior knowledge is required.
