Join a diverse group of artists to enjoy a concert performance that reflects the migration experience, and help support migrant families in our community. The initial inspiration for the program came from the desire of The Thomas Circle Singers to present an encore performance of Melissa Dunphy’s N-400 Erasure Songs. This piece is a choral setting of poetry created by blacking out text from the application for naturalization. It has been described as both “haunting and mournful” and “beautifully moving.” TCS will be joined by Elena La Fulana, a Latin Grammy-nominated instrumentalist and singer-songwriter originally from Nicaragua; Camilo Montoya, a talented Nicaraguan writer and cultural worker based in Washington, DC; and classical vocalists Susan Wheeler and Darryl Winston. The concert is presented as part of the migrant ministry of Universalist National Memorial Church.

Donations can be made at the event by cash or Venmo () with “Concert Fundraiser” in the payment note to support a fund that directly supports migrant families in need. Donations may also be given via ActionNetwork or by check (made out to Beloved Community Incubator) for the general fund for Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid.
