In this interactive workshop with storyteller and teaching artist Arianna Ross, participants will explore how storytelling can help people connect with others, express their needs clearly, and advocate for themselves in everyday life. Through fun activities involving speaking, writing, and drawing, attendees will practice developing their voices and sharing personal stories in ways that feel comfortable to them. All materials will be provided, and everyone is welcome to participate individually or with the group. The event is partnered with Story Tapestries, and photos or videos may be taken during the workshop for documentation and outreach purposes.

Join us for the Glover Park Village Walking Club. Whatever your level of mobility, you are welcome to get moving around Glover Park! Join us for an easy walk, mostly flat, along sidewalks and alleys. We’ll enjoy neighborhood gardens in bloom, stop at several Little Free Libraries (bring your book bag), discover a secret park, and find some reminders of neighborhood history.

Gentle movement feels so good at any age. Walking with a neighbor feels even more important now more than ever!

Learn about local artists and discuss with your neighbors!

Meet up with us at the Ashe & Norton Gallery, a small but vibrant new gallery in Glover Park, located between Pearsons Liquor and Bon Jon Rumi restaurant.

We’ll take a close look at works by DC artists Andrés Izquierdo (April 15) and Eric Celarier (April 29), exploring the materials and techniques they use and reading from their artist statements. Together we’ll discover how these artists create their work and what ideas shape their practice.
