🎉 The Prom Project is back for Year 3! 🎉

Today is , a global day of generosity, and we’re thrilled to launch our 2025 Prom Project campaign! 💃🏾🕺🏽

At the Black Educators Collective, we believe every student deserves to attend their prom in style, no matter their circumstances. This initiative ensures low-income and unhoused students can experience the joy and confidence of prom.

✨ Last Year’s Highlights:

💎 Served students from schools across DC, including Eastern, Ballou, KIPP DC, and Cardoza.
🛍️ Volunteers acted as personal shoppers to help students find their dream prom outfits.
👗 Provided FREE dresses, suits, ties, shoes, and more!
🌸 Partnered with for free corsages and boutonnieres.
🎉 Students enjoyed goodie bags, photobooths, and delicious food from Black-owned businesses.
💡 2025 Vision:
This year, we’re making it BIGGER & BETTER! Alongside free prom outfits and accessories, we’re working to provide vouchers for hair and makeup services. Plus, we’re hosting an exciting in-person happy hour fundraiser where you can bring donations and join the fun.

✨ Thank you to everyone who came out to Volley & Vibes last week! There was truly something special about this group of ladies—the sense of sisterhood was undeniable. 🫶 We shared laughs, learned new skills with , enjoyed bubbly, and savored a delicious brunch together. 🥂🍓🎾

Our group was beautifully diverse, bringing together educators and other professionals, all connected by a shared love for learning, community, and a good time on the court.

Big thanks to for the chance to collaborate on such an empowering event. Here’s to more moments of connection, empowerment, and fun on the court! Until next time!
