May is National Small Business Month!

Our coalition is made up of many great small businesses, and we're pleased to spotlight Beachy Birder Adventures to celebrate!

"As a born and raised Jersey Girl, I have loved being at the beach for as long as I can remember. I think everyone should get to experience finding a sand dollar fully intact, seeing a pod of dolphins swim across the current, and watching sandpipers scurry across the sand.

The Garden State is such a special place, from the Meadowlands to Cape May. In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, we all witnessed a tight-knit community become even stronger and take care of our own. My desire to help create stronger, healthier ecosystems, communities, families and individuals throughout the state stems from that experience.

A clean and healthy ocean means thriving shorebirds and seabirds, and a way for me to engage new birders in my lifelong passion."

Microplastics are everywhere – infiltrating our environment, bodies, and food on a global scale.
But that’s no secret. In the past few years, awareness of microplastics has been spreading almost as fast and as far as the plastic particles themselves.
So now that we know that these bits of plastic are everywhere, it’s time to take action – and some members in the U.S. Congress aim to do just that.
