A Responsive Grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis helped North Memphis arts organization AngelStreet meet record enrollment—and rising need amid funding delays.

AngelStreet is the only female-focused arts program in the neighborhood it serves and provides weekly rehearsals, performances, and one-on-one mentoring to young girls.

To address funding delays which could disrupt operations, the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis provided a $25,000 Responsive Grant to help the organization hold steady.

For over 50 years, the Community Foundation has helped people give with purpose, strengthening Memphis and the Mid-South.

Community Foundation Awareness Initiative partner Innovia Foundation, as well as Spokane Region Long Term Recovery Group and Greenstone Corporation are working to ensure that families who lost their homes receive help without delay — and that Karen Worthy’s legacy of community investment continues to shape the region she loved.

In the wake of the devastating August 2026 Spokane Complex Fires, longtime Spokane developer and community leader Walt Worthy has established the Karen Worthy Memorial Community Fund at Innovia Foundation, in loving memory of his late wife, Karen Worthy.

The fund will provide support to the Spokane Region Long Term Recovery Group to launch the Karen Worthy Memorial Wildfire Grant program — a one-time, $10,000 grant available to eligible households whose primary residence was destroyed or rendered a total loss by the Old Trails, Autumn Lane, or Fairview Fires, collectively known as the Spokane Complex Fires.

The grants are designed to move quickly and without strings attached. Funds are intended to help affected households cover urgent, immediate needs — temporary housing, replacement of everyday essentials, and other recovery costs — while insurance claims, FEMA assistance, and other aid are still being processed. Grants are intended to address the loss of a primary residence, whether owner or renter occupied.

The Delaware Community Foundation awarded over $1 million in scholarships to 233 students for the 2026-2027 school year.

These scholarships include new awards and renewals.

In response to the July 27 tornado that devastated Wisconsin communities, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region activated its Community Response Fund to address tornado relief in partnership with United Way Fox Cities and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

**100% of donations to the fund will go directly to tornado relief and recovery efforts by providing resources to trusted nonprofits and community organizations serving those most affected.

Park City Community Foundation was featured in TownLift, announcing the winner of its Women’s Giving Fund grant.

Summit County Clubhouse wins the high-impact grant of $90,000 to assist local women with housing, mental health challenges and substance use disorders. The other two finalists PC READS and St. Mary’s Catholic Church Charitable Assistance Program will each receive $30,000.

Since its creation in 2015, the Women’s Giving Fund has awarded $808,000 to local organizations.
