Luke's Wings was honored to participate in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon in celebration of Military Caregiver Day on Wednesday, May 6, held at the USO building on the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus.
The Luke’s Wings team joined fellow nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting our military families and caregivers. We were especially proud to distribute care kits packaged by attendees of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. Ignite Conference last July.
These kits were given to the caregivers who make countless sacrifices to remain by the side of their wounded, ill, and injured service members through every challenge, milestone, and moment of uncertainty.
Caregivers are often the quiet strength behind recovery — providing comfort, advocacy, and unwavering love while carrying so much themselves. Their resilience and devotion do not go unnoticed.
While National Caregivers Day gives us a special opportunity to recognize their impact, we are grateful for these extraordinary individuals every single day of the year.
Luke’s Wings is deeply honored to support and give back to a community that sacrifices so much in service to others. To every caregiver standing beside a service member during their healing journey: thank you. Your compassion, strength, and selflessness inspire us all. 💙
