RISE wants every student to achieve academic success, graduate from high school, become a productive adult and live up to his or her potential. In 2019-20, RISE’s educational professionals provided over 3,000 hours of instruction and mentoring to low-income stud

ents in Washington, DC. The students in RISE's College Prep Plus program finish college at a rate more than four times the national average for low-income students.

I first met this remarkable young man in tenth grade. Since then, Fred has literally taken no days off to become the first male in his extended family and the first male in his high school class to finish college. He has the admiration and respect of his peers, who helped celebrate with us. Onward and upward, Fred!
