Carpe Librum is a donation-based used bookstore benefiting the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.

Masks preferred. Contactless payment available: payment via e-pay methods such as Apple Pay or credit card is accepted. Checkout will be no-contact and social distancing will be practiced during browsing. We look forward to seeing you there!

*Important Announcement*

You may have noticed we have a new name and profile picture as of today: Woodley Park. This is because we have some sad news to share: District Bridges will no longer be managing the Woodley Park Main Street grant program.

Despite 2 years of successful program implementation and overwhelming community support, we were not awarded the Woodley Park Main Street grant from the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) for the FY22 year. The Office of the Inspector General has now opened an investigation of DSLBD due to concerns of biased procurement practices.

What does this mean for you and the Woodley Park community? While we are extremely disappointed by the actions of DSLBD and the result of the WPMS grant competition, it does not change the mission of District Bridges, which is to invest in the community and support local businesses. We have and will continue to provide support to the Woodley Park business community, in the ways we can, without the dedicated funding from DSLBD.

In other words, we will still be here – supporting small businesses and using our newly renamed social media presence to keep local residents connected with Woodley Park’s small businesses and in the loop with what’s happening on the corridor.

Beginning Jan. 15, DC will adopt a city wide vaccination entry requirement that requires COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor facilities within the city, such as restaurants and bars, entertainment and cultural venues, gyms and recreation facilities, and event and meeting venues.
