It was a packed house in the West End Library meeting room as members listen in to a photographic presentation inspired by shinrin-yoku, the Japanese art of forest bathing.

Through stunning imagery and thoughtful storytelling, Lynn Cates invited us to slow down, reconnect with nature, and appreciate the restorative power of the outdoors. Thank you, Lynn, for sharing such an inspiring and insightful presentation with our community!

Catch the Mahjong Wave by joining Catharine Martin, a long-time mahjong enthusiast and teacher for 3 beginner classes. Learn American AKA Jewish mahjong. It’s a game of strategy, history and above all FUN!

From lively discussions to shared laughs, our Movie Club is one of the many ways Foggy Bottom West End Village brings neighbors together through the power of film. This month, members watched Whale Rider, a moving story about courage, identity, and challenging expectations. Before the screening, members tested their film knowledge with movie trivia, and afterward gathered for a thoughtful discussion, sharing their perspectives and reflections.
