Sisterhood can be inconvenient.

It asks for patience when you’re tired.
Honesty when silence would be easier.
Grace when feelings are hurt.

Sometimes it means sitting in discomfort.
Sometimes it means doing the work to repair.

But the truth is… real sisterhood isn’t built on ease.
It’s built on commitment.

On choosing each other again.
On refusing to give up when things get messy.
On believing the relationship is worth the work.

That’s the kind of sisterhood that lasts.

In 1928, five Black women rode 250 miles from Harlem to DC in three days for the love of the outdoors.

Nearly a century later, their courage still calls us forward. A challenge to ride their journey in less time, which we answer with joy, care, and most importantly, together.

Legacy isn’t just something we inherit. It’s something we continue.

If you’re an emerging woman or non-binary cyclist of color with a spark for adventure and a desire to grow through collective care, learn more at an upcoming info session.

What excites you most about being part of the 1928 Legacy Tour?

"Comrades. Black Joy. Black women." - Jas (PA), c/o 2025

96- years ago, five Black women cycled 250 miles from Harlem, NY to Washington, DC simply because they loved being outdoors. They wanted to see the legacy continue by challenging other women to do the trip.

Jas answered the call to continue this legacy while sharing for diverse communities.
