Jah | Witness Emcee is a Virginia raised and DC and Maryland based artist and producer with Igbo roots and a lifelong connection to music. As the son of Olamina of Awareness Art Ensemble, he grew up surrounded by African consciousness, reggae vibration, and a deep sense of cultural purpose.

His voice carries truth and spirit. His flow moves from sharp bars to smooth soul, and his production reflects the warm and organic sound shaped by legendary producers such as J Dilla and Lee Scratch Perry. He also serves on the board of the J Dilla Foundation, helping carry forward one of the most important musica legacies of our time.
Through Orange Couch Sessions he continues to build community and uplift emerging artists with intention and heart.🧡
We are honored to welcome him to Spirit of Humanity 2025. 💛

Today we are in deep gratitude for the incredible creativity of Los Angeles born artist Brandee Robinson, who will showcase original artwork created in response to our theme Love Matters of the Heart.
Brandee Robinson is a mixed media artist and creative entrepreneur whose global journey with the United States Air Force shaped her reflections on culture, identity, and connection. Growing up in LA and living in Korea, Italy, Hawaii, and across the United States gave her a wide lens that comes through in every portrait she creates.
Through her studio 310bran, Brandee blends painting, product design, and community centered creative experiences. Her work has appeared at Hickam Art Gallery, Black Girl Art Show Washington DC, and the National Reconnaissance Office, where her piece was selected from more than 250 submissions for display in the Principal Deputy Directors Office. Her commissions have included Grammy Award winning talent.
For Spirit of Humanity, Brandee brings original work that reflects her own interpretation of love, the heart, and the stories we carry.

A different kind of Black Friday drop
Mosaic Visions is honored to announce that The Greater Washington Community Foundation is supporting Spirit of Humanity 2025.
Instead of a sale, we are celebrating an investment in art, storytelling, and the creative voices shaping the future of our region.
As the largest local funder in the greater Washington area, The Community Foundation ignites the power of philanthropy to build a thriving region where every person prospers. Since 1973, they have connected bold changemakers with the resources needed to create lasting impact across DC, Montgomery County, Northern Virginia, and Prince George's County.
Their support strengthens Mosaic Visions work to uplift underrepresented artists, nurture culture changemakers and create spaces where personal storytelling and narrative agency thrive. Through this partnership, we continue building community through creativity, connection, and collective imagination.
Your support helps our organization thrive as we grow to support more artists, expand creative programs, and strengthen cultural storytelling across the region.
Join them in supporting Mosaic Visions.

As we move through Thanksgiving week, we hold deep gratitude for the artists who have shaped Mosaic Visions from the beginning. Today we are honored to welcome back Carolivia Herron, poet, novelist, scholar, librettist, and one of the first artists to walk with us.
A Black Jewish writer whose work spans literature, classical studies, and musicology, Carolivia has dedicated her career to illuminating lineage, memory, and cultural inheritance. Her most recent work Pharsalia; or, For Crying Out Loud, commissioned by Theater J, brings together Lucan's ancient Roman epic Pharsalia with Pharsalia Plantation in Virginia, where Carolivia's formerly enslaved ancestors lived. Through this bridge between classical text and family history, she reframes epic storytelling as a place of reclamation.
Her acclaimed novel Thereafter Johnnie, reissued on September 28 2025, continues to introduce new readers to her brilliant narrative voice. Alongside Always an Olivia and her opera librettos, Carolivia's work stands as a testament to stories that cross generations and cultura lineages.
Carolivia's presence has been foundational to Mosaic Visions and reflects our mission to uplift diverse Jewish voices and expand the tent to include other underrepresented artistic voices whose stories deepen our shared cultural landscape.
We are grateful to welcome her back to Spirit of Humanity 2025, continuing a creative relationship rooted in community, lineage, and the courage to tell stories that matter.

This Thanksgiving week, we're pausing in gratitude for the artists whose work expands how we see, love, and move through the world.
Today, we're honored to introduce the first artist in our Spirit of Humanity 2025 lineup: Rhys Langston, an L.A.-born and raised musician, writer, visual artist, and educator whose boundary-pushing work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, SPIN, AFROPUNK, and more.
Rhys' practice transcends genre and discipline as you can see he draws from black and Jewish lineage. From projects like Language Arts Unit: A Rap Textbook and Grapefruit Radio Operator's Manual-where sound, text, and visual art collide-to his newest album Pale Black Negative (2025) and his debut poetry collection forthcoming from Writ Large Projects in 2026, his work embodies imagination, experimentation, and cultural inquiry.
This season reminds us to honor the people whose creativity moves us.
We're grateful to welcome Rhys to the Spirit of Humanity stage.
Join us on December 7 at Eaton DC. Tickets are now live — link in bio.
Come experience a an evening of art, community, and stories that shift the atmosphere.
