LISTEN TO DETRANSITIONERS: This week, the U.S. Supreme Court will consider whether states can protect kids from puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. As America turns its attention to this pivotal case, a growing chorus of detransitioners is speaking out.
One of them is Chloe Cole. While growing up, Chloe never felt like she fit in with other girls. Soon, this discomfort—compounded by depression, anxiety, undiagnosed autism, and a sexual assault—led her to identify as a boy and seek cross-sex hormones. She had a double mastectomy at just 15.
The gruesome after-effects of the surgery showed Chloe just how damaging gender ideology is. She has now become a leading voice for detransitioners. Chloe doesn’t blame her parents: “They were victims just as much as I am . . . [the doctors] lied to my parents.”
Tragically, the harm done to young people like Chloe can never be undone. But we can work to make sure it never happens again.
The Supreme Court should uphold Tennessee’s commonsense law—and the laws of 25 other states—because no one has the right to harm a child.
