To My Anonymous Benefactor.
Dear Sir / Ma’am,
I sincerely wish I could place a name or a face to the person behind this extraordinary kindness, but since that isn’t possible, I can only hope that these words convey even a small part of my gratitude. Even then, I know that no words will ever be enough. Your generosity reached my daughter and me at a time when we were struggling quietly, and your support felt like a blessing sent directly from God. Your compassion is a gentle reminder that goodness still exists in this world, and that sometimes God sends His angels through ordinary people who choose to care — Angels really do walk among us.
Over the past days, I have known a peace that I had not felt in a very long time. I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders. I no longer go to bed worried about where our next meal will come from, because Catholic Charities—through your generosity—has provided my daughter and me with the means to keep food on our table. Not only that, but the clothing and essential items we received have brought comfort, dignity, and stability back into our lives. These donations have made life so much easier for us. They have eased burdens I silently carried, and reminded me that even in the midst of struggle, God sends people who embody His love and compassion.
Scripture beautifully captures the spirit of your kindness: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…” (Luke 6:38) I hold onto these words as a prayer over your life. May the kindness you have shown be multiplied back to you in ways beyond your imagining. I pray these words return to you in abundance.
Thank you—truly, sincerely, and from the depths of my soul. Your generosity has reached beyond the physical; it has given me hope, strength, and faith to keep going. May the source of these finances and every act of support you have shared be replenished tenfold. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25). And may countless other families come to feel the same love, comfort, and grace that you have shown mine.
My thanks extend not only to you, but also to the incredible men and women of Catholic Charities who have graced my life with kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. They have gone far beyond the traditional Case Manager–Client relationship. They are more like confidants and, at times, therapists—listening to my plights, offering words of comfort, and showing up for me even outside of their work hours. Their hearts speak volumes, and their dedication has brought light into moments when I felt unseen and unheard. Thank you so much, and I love you all.
With all my gratitude,
Keziah & Kristie
