🇺🇸 Honoring Those Who Served — Bay Area Honor Flight #42 🇺🇸

This past weekend, the Navy Supply Corps Foundation - Washington Area Chapter was proud to support Bay Area Honor Flight #42 as our veterans made their long-overdue journey to Washington, D.C. — the trip of a lifetime.

Among the heroes on this flight were mostly Vietnam Veterans — who came home decades ago without the welcome they deserved. This time, we made sure they knew just how grateful this nation is for their service and sacrifice.

NSCF-WAC members had the privilege of conducting Sideboys at the World War II Memorial, but the true highlight was the time spent alongside these incredible veterans — hearing their stories, walking the grounds, and sharing in the weight and wonder of those sacred memorials. Moments like these remind us exactly why we serve.

And the good news? There are more Honor Flights on the horizon! Bay Area Honor Flight has additional missions scheduled for later this year, and we'd love to see YOU out there. Keep your eyes peeled for future volunteer opportunities — trust us, this is one experience you don't want to miss. Stay tuned for details! 👀

⛳ Heads Up, Golfers! ⛳

We have an important update regarding our May 15th Golf Outing — due to lower-than-expected registration numbers, we were not able to hit the minimum needed to tee off this time around, and we've made the tough call to cancel the event.

To everyone who registered: don't worry — refunds are on the way and will be sent out over the coming days!

This won't keep us off the fairway for long. We're already looking ahead to future events and can't wait to bring the Navy Supply Corps Foundation community together again soon.

⚠️ Short Notice — but absolutely worth it!

We are looking for 6 volunteers to support an Honor Flight event on Friday, 15 May 2025, at 1100.

What is an Honor Flight?

Honor Flight is a nonprofit program dedicated to bringing U.S. military veterans-at no cost-to Washington, D.C., enabling them to visit the memorials dedicated to the wars they served in.

Event Details:
Date/Time: 15 May 2026, 1100–1200 (muster at 1045).
Location: WWII Memorial, Pacific side.
Uniform: Civilian attire (khaki pants and blue or black polo/shirt) in lieu of uniform due to operational considerations.

We’ll be welcoming veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a meaningful opportunity to honor and connect with those who served our nation.
