a little reintroduction for anyone who’s new here 🤍

Ii started Gray for Glioblastoma in 2021 after my dad was diagnosed with glioblastoma, but there’s a lot more to me than GFG and a lot more to GFG than my story.

i’m 25, figuring out my 20s in NYC, building a career in events that I love while balancing GFG after hours and on weekends, missing my dad every day, spending way too much money on iced vanilla lattes and sidewalk spritzes, and working to make others feel comforted, connected and empowered in the face of a diagnosis that can otherwise feel incredibly isolating.

whether you’ve been here since the beginning, found us because GBM has touched your life, or just recently stumbled across our page, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m excited for everything that’s ahead 🩶

one of the biggest challenges in glioblastoma research today is the profoundly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. other difficulties include the blood-brain barrier, tumor heterogeneity, cellular plasticity, tumor infiltration into healthy brain tissue, treatment resistance, recurrence, limited drug delivery, and challenges translating promising laboratory findings into effective treatments for patients.

the who, what, why, how of Gray for Glioblastoma! It’s been a while, so here’s a refresher. we’re a 501(c)(3) founded by kate snedeker in honor of her late father, raising awareness and critical funds for glioblastoma research while supporting those impacted by a brain cancer diagnosis. our mission is to bridge the gap between awareness, funding, and support moving us closer to a cure. follow along, donate, or get involved🩶🧠

approximately 1 in 260 people in the U.S. are living with a primary brain tumor. behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a reason to keep pushing for more awareness, more research, and better treatment options.
