SSPDF has reportedly captured an SPLA-IO soldier during clashes in Kapoeta North County, Eastern Equatoria State.

Fighting erupted early this morning at around 5:00 AM after SPLA-IO fighters allegedly launched a pre-dawn attack targeting key government installations, including the police station and county administrative office.

Local sources say the attackers briefly overran the police station before advancing to the county office. The armed group is also reported to have stormed the homes of both the former and current county commissioners in search of weapons and ammunition before withdrawing.

Authorities have not yet confirmed casualty figures, and full details remain unclear as the situation develops.
