We’re honored to receive a $50,000 grant through the 2026 AbbVie Foundation Health Equity Accelerator, in partnership with MATTER-Chicago!🎉

Over 10 weeks, we refined our school-based health education model, thought bigger about what’s possible, and built relationships with an incredible group of organizations working to advance health equity.

Congratulations to our fellow cohort members for your incredible work: Black Heart Association, Health Justice Initiative, MedCycle Network, SPEAK, and The Community Grocer. And a huge thank you to the AbbVie Foundation, MATTER, our mentor Rachel Dixon, and Katie Kosko and Jonathas Barreto for their guidance throughout the Accelerator.

We’re excited to take everything we learned and keep building what’s next for Grassroots Health.

This weekend, 15 of our volunteers from Howard Women’s Lacrosse and Howard University dedicated their day to help out with Fight For Children’s Youth Sports Day. It is rewarding to see y’all show up for young people both in and outside of GRH programs. SHOUT-OUT!
