The Members of The Warwick Police Department stand with Chief Post and members of Goshen Police Department during this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Chief Post.
Our Town of Goshen Police Department family is grieving alongside Chief James Post and his family after the tragic loss of his son, Brian Philip Post, 36.
Brian was riding his motorcycle home last Friday morning after finishing a 12-hour shift with NJ Transit when he was struck and killed in Wayne, New Jersey. No words can ease a loss like this. We’re keeping the Chief and his family close in our hearts.
They’ll be taking time to grieve privately through the end of this week. We know many in our community want to reach out and show their love and support. Please give the family the space they need right now.
So many people have asked how they can help Chief Post and his family. A group of the Chief’s longtime friends and former NYSP colleagues are setting up a GoFundMe in memory of Brian.
A trusted member of the group is organizing the fundraiser, and every dollar raised will go directly to Brian’s family. We’ll share the link as soon as it’s ready.
Message from the Chief: “I’ll do my best to move forward and come back when I’m ready. Losing Brian has changed me, and I know I won’t be the same. Thank you for your support and for giving my family and me time to grieve.”
Thank you for the kindness and support you’ve shown the Chief and his family. It means a great deal.
Rest peacefully, Brian. May God watch over you and your family.
