This year Boots and Barbecue is on Saturday, October 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 at Lawson Bay Farm on the Rappahannock River in White Stone, VA. It features all-you-can-eat barbecue and oysters, live music, and exhibitors and demonstrations that reflect the rural character of the Northern Neck: You won’t want to miss it!

It’s World Turtle Day! 🐢

We love turtles! Land conservation gives us the ability to protect wildlife and their habitats, including all the different types of turtles that call our region home. 💚

“My initial idea was to have something on the tag that incorporated both waters and fields,” said Jones. “The design we came up is the one featuring a deadrise (boat) and people have been really happy with it. I see them all over the Richmond area and around the state.”
