GoodDaddies BBQ & Grillmaster Competition Update! 🍗🔥

Hello Cooks & Vendors!

We are excited to see you on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Warsaw Parks & Recreation Complex!

📍 Event is RAIN OR SHINE (outdoor & indoor accommodations available for vendors)

⏰ COOKS ARRIVAL: 10:00 AM
⏰ VENDORS ARRIVAL: 11:00 AM
⏰ Event Opens to the Public: 12:00 NOON

🍗 Cooks will be provided with boneless chicken thighs and drumsticks for the competition.

📦 Meat pickup will be available on Thursday, June 18, at:

Shackle Free Community Outreach Agency, Inc.
224 W. College Street, Suite B.
Warsaw, NC 28398

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
• All competition food must be grilled on-site.
• Judging will be conducted as a BLIND JUDGING competition to ensure fairness.
• Please do not place names, logos, or identifying information on judging samples.
• Participants should bring their own tents, tables, grills, and lawn chairs.

This event is more than just Juneteenth Meets Shackle Free—it is also a celebration of Men’s Health Month and the positive impact of fathers, mentors, and male role models in our communities. Hosted in partnership with GoodDaddies, we encourage everyone to come out and support men’s health awareness, family engagement, wellness, and community empowerment while enjoying a day filled with great food, fun, and fellowship.

At Shackle Free Community Outreach Agency, we know that learning doesn’t stop when school lets out—and neither should access to healthy meals.

We are proud to partner with Duplin County Schools in helping spread the word about their Summer Food Service Program, ensuring that children and teens throughout Duplin County have access to nutritious meals all summer long.

Food insecurity remains one of the barriers that can keep families from thriving. Through initiatives like Momma Kine’s Pantry, FreeU, and our community outreach efforts, Shackle Free is committed to helping families meet basic needs so they can focus on education, wellness, and opportunity.

✅ FREE meals for all children and teens 18 and under
✅ No registration required (pre-registration encouraged)
✅ Curbside meal pickup and weekly meal box distribution available

As we often say at Shackle Free, we must address the foundational levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs before families can fully pursue education, employment, and long-term success. Access to nutritious food is not just a meal—it is an investment in our children’s future.
