All polling places in the state open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., with the exception of New Shoreham, which opens at 9 a.m. You will be allowed to cast your vote if you are in line at your polling location by 8:00 p.m.

Rising Waters - Free Screening Series #1

Rising Waters is a film project by students of Mount Hope High School, teachers, and the Collaborative. It is an investigation of the threat posed by climate change to the small Rhode Island town of Warren and its more than 11,000 residents. The film centers on a particularly vulnerable neighborhood near Belcher Cove and the Kickemuit River that could disappear by the end of the century, as well as the radical plan the town adopted to respond to this threat.

It has a 30 min. run time, followed by a Q&A with Special Guest author and speaker, Kate Shapiro.

This activity is partially funded through a partnership between RIDOH, RI DEM and Warren HEZ , an initiative of the Rhode Island Department of Health. East Bay Community Action Program is the backbone agency for the Warren, Bristol, and East Providence HEZs.

A record-breaking pumpkin weighed in this year at the annual Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Growers Weigh-Off on Friday hosted by Frerich Farm.

Warren Town Hall, DPW and the Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, October 12th, for holiday observance.

Trash and yard waste pickups will be delayed by one day.
