✨ Moment to Shine: July 2026 Edition ✨

Some people make an impact through grand gestures. Others do it through the quiet, consistent ways they show up every day. This month, we're proud to recognize Vivian Camara for the compassion, initiative, and person-centered care she brings to LIFE daily.

One of the first things you'll notice about Vivian is her genuine desire to get to know the participants she supports. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she invests time in learning each person's unique personality, communication style, preferences, and goals. By building trust and adapting her support to meet each individual where they are, Vivian helps create an environment where participants feel safe, respected, and valued.

Her commitment to person-centered care shines through in the little things that often make the biggest difference. After learning that one participant was most comfortable communicating in another language, Vivian made a point to speak with him in that language whenever possible. That thoughtful effort strengthened their relationship, increased the participant’s confidence, and encouraged greater participation both within the program and out in the community. It's a wonderful example of how meaningful support begins with truly listening and understanding.

Vivian's dedication extends beyond the participants she serves. She is someone who stays engaged throughout her shift, notices what needs to be done, and takes initiative without waiting to be asked. Her strong work ethic and willingness to step in wherever needed help keep the program running smoothly while setting a positive example for those around her.

What makes Vivian especially deserving of this recognition is her unwavering commitment to doing what's best for the people we support. Whether it's taking extra time to understand someone's needs, finding creative ways to build confidence, or simply being a dependable presence every day, she consistently goes above and beyond. Her compassion and reliability are felt not only by the individuals she supports, but also by her fellow team members, as she was nominated by several staff members to receive this recognition!

At LIFE, our mission is built on empowering participants to live fulfilling, connected lives, and Vivian embodies that mission in everything she does. Her thoughtful approach, genuine kindness, and dedication remind us that exceptional support isn't measured by a single moment—it's reflected in the countless everyday actions that help others thrive.
