Wareham EMS had a special visitor today!

Ainslee stopped by to donate a box of stuffed animals as part of her Girl Scout Bronze Award project. Her goal is to help children feel a little less scared when they find themselves riding in the back of an ambulance.

Ainslee named her project “Stuffies with Purpose,” and we think that name says it all.

Thank you, Ainslee, for your thoughtfulness and for finding such a meaningful way to help others. We are proud to support your project and grateful for your generous donation to Wareham EMS.

Wareham EMS has come to find out there are two sick children in need who live in our town. Mia is battling Leukemia and Rory is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Our union has donated $250 to each GoFundMe to support the children and their families. Community support for times like these are paramount and helping in any way you can could make the difference.

Just a friendly reminder that as we prepare for this year's Cape Verdean Festival on Saturday, August 8, 2026, there will be parking restrictions, road closures and traffic restrictions throughout portions of Onset Village.

The primary affected areas include:

Union Avenue
Highland Avenue
Waban Avenue
Onset Avenue

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make a safe and successful community event for everyone.

If you plan to travel through Onset Village on Saturday, please expect increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic, allow yourself extra travel time, and consider using alternate routes around the festival area whenever possible.
