We had a great time at Southern Oaks Jerseys Farm & Creamery this afternoon. Christina Young’s , one of our FFA officers, grandpa started this dairy over 40 years ago in abbeville county. They milk around 65 Jersey cows, twice a day- that’s A LOT of milk! Thank you to the Wiley family for contributing and believing in Agriculture. If you’re in the area- they have the best chocolate milk and homemade ice cream !

Help us keep our stadium clean during & after the 100 year celebration football game vs. Ninety Six

On Friday, October 2nd, the Ware Shoals Hornets host the Ninety Six Wildcats at Tommy Davis Field for a litter-free showdown. In partnership with PalmettoPride, South Carolina’s anti-litter and beautification organization, the Hornet FFA will participate in a litter cleanup during and after the event. Win or lose, the home team is always left to pick up the pieces after sporting events. Litter-Free Games provide students an opportunity to learn valuable environmental lessons, leadership skills, and the importance of community service. Simultaneously, Litter-Free Games help PalmettoPride to achieve the goal of preventing people from littering through education.

Ware Shoals was represented well at the 99th South Carolina FFA Convention and Expo this week! Our very own, Meredith Vinson, placed third in the state Upper Creed Speaking CDE competition! We are so proud of her and this accomplishment. ZyAnn Lyda received her FFA State Degree as well- this is the highest degree an FFA member can hold at the state level. The future looks bright for Ware Shoals FFA!
