On August 18th, Big Foot FFA hosted their 2nd blood drive of the summer! Our members worked the sign-in table, made grilled cheese, served donors, and even donated themselves. A big thank you to the American Red Cross for helping make this blood drive a success and for giving our members the opportunity to give back to our community! ❤️

On August 9th, Big Foot FFA worked their concession stand at the Walworth County Fairgrounds for the Flea Market. Our members cooked hotdogs, grilled cheese, and pulled pork; made fried donuts, french fries, and corn dogs; and served many customers. Despite a little rain, our members had a great time working together and making the most of the day!

🐄4th Day of Agriscience Camp: Farm Day🐄

For the last day of camp our campers went to Davis Family Farm where they saw and learned about cows, robotic milking machines, milk tanks, and calves. To end the day campers also got to have ice cream from Main Street. A huge thank you to Gary and Rodney Davis for having us at your farm and for showing campers the importance of production agriculture.

🐄3rd Day of Agriscience Camp: Animal Day🐓

The next days our campers got involved into the animal world. Campers made cow hats, learned about animal feed, practiced animal cleanup, and preformed medical procedures on hurt animals. For the second half of the day, campers got to see and touch chickens, rabbits, fish, and dogs. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that taught campers more about keeping animals safe, healthy, and well cared for—including how to be responsible pet owners!

🥕2nd Day of Agriscience Camp: Food Day 🍉

Agriscience Camp continued on July 28th with a fun-filled day focused on food and food safety! Campers learned how to properly wash their hands and fresh produce, harvested vegetables, made homemade butter, and even made their own dehydrated watermelon.

🌱 Day 1 of Agriscience Camp: Plant Day! 🌱

On July 27th, our FFA members kicked off Agriscience Camp by teaching campers all about the world of plants! Throughout the day, campers created their own Green Pals, planted pumpkin seeds, explored soil and flower anatomy, and discovered fun facts about how plants grow and thrive. It was a day full of hands-on learning, creativity, and fun—we can’t wait to share what the rest of the week had in store!
