For the CVMA members Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and CVMA® LA 6-8 has a full weekend ahead. Weather permitting, we plan to take the raffle motorcycle to Swarm in the Swamp on Saturday, May 23, at Bogue Chitto Swamp Cabins in Franklinton, LA. We’ll be there most of the day selling raffle tickets, handing out APR flyers, and supporting the event.
We also plan to participate in both weekend rides:
Saturday, May 23 - Hero Hump Es**rt Ride
Es**rt link-up: 181 Florida St., Baton Rouge, LA
This will be a 1-mile es**rt to the State Capitol.
Hammond riders meet at Holden Chevron, KSU 6:30 AM.
Stop at RaceTrac on O’Neal at 7:00 AM, KSU 7:10 AM.
Link up with Odin’s Sons in Baton Rouge at 7:45 AM.
Monday, May 25 - 6th Annual McFlirt’s Memorial Day Run
Bring a small flag for the gravesite.
Meet at RaceTrac in Ponchatoula at 7:15 AM, KSU 7:30 AM.
Meet at Shell Station, Hwy 51 and I-10 in LaPlace at 8:00 AM, KSU 8:15 AM.
Central link-up/start point: Go Bears Chevron, Hwy 90 Raceland at 9:00 AM, KSU 9:30 AM.
From there, the ride will continue to Presque Isle Park, Nifty Fifty Truck Stop, Houma Veterans Park, and the flag ceremony with the Marine Corps League, followed by lunch at Ho***rs.
Everyone is welcome to come out, help with the raffle bike, support the rides, and represent well. Hydrate early and keep hydrating through the day. We’re honoring Memorial Day weekend, not auditioning for heat casualties, because apparently Louisiana likes to turn the air into soup.
